Served as a Struthers park supervisor for 10 years.
Served as a Canfield Fair police officer for 30 years.
Received the national volunteer award in 2000 from Vice President Al Gore.
Named the Ancient Order of Hibernians Irish Woman of the Year 1990.
Inducted into the Mahoning County Democrat Hall of Fame in 2005.
Served more than 40 years as a member and officer in the local, state and national Federated Democratic Women.
Active in get-out-the-vote and Struthers school levy campaigns.
Successfully petitioned the Mahoning County commissioners to rename the Center Street Bridge the World War II Veterans Memorial Bridge and helped plan its dedication ceremony in 1999.
Led the fund-raising effort for the Struthers Veterans Memorial, dedicated Oct. 14.
While undergoing rehabilitation for a broken hip, she owned a ceramics shop and created a Jimmy Carter coffee mug and commemorative plates for the Struthers Municipal Building and Hopewell Furnace.
