Bomb threat empties grocery store

CANFIELD — Shoppers and employees at the Giant Eagle grocery store on East Main Street were evacuated after someone phoned a bomb threat to the store Sunday.

Police say the call was made at about 5 p.m. Police and firefighters closed the store for about an hour and a half to search. No bomb was found. The call is under investigation.
