The problem facing the Children's Museum of the Valley was a big one: How to fit an airplane into the building on East Boardman Street, Youngstown. A biplane was donated to the museum, and volunteers removed its wings yet still had trouble getting the fuselage through the door Friday. Working, from left, on getting the plane into the lobby for display were Paul Hunt of Irwin, Pa.; museum volunteer Roy McDaniel of Struthers; and plane owner Walt Moffat of Irwin, Pa. The plane was hand-built by Jim Istvanick, 91, of Wilmerding, Pa., who for health reasons could no longer fly it. So, he gave it to Moffat -- who donated it. Once inside the building, at left, Beverly Sipp, 6, tried out the cockpit as dad, Doug Sipp, a museum volunteer who also helped with bringing in the plane, looked amused.
