Greenhouse, gift shop to hold annual open house

CANFIELD -- The greenhouse and gift shop at Mahoning County Career & amp; Technical Center, 7300 N. Palmyra Road, will hold its annual holiday open house for visitors beginning Monday.
Among the items for sale this year are poinsettias in various colors, live and artificial wreaths, silk flower arrangements, live greenery table arrangements, pine roping, baskets and gift items.
All of the sale items were developed as learning activities for the two-year course of study required of the school's horticulture students. Landscaping, floriculture and greenhouse production are part of their curriculum.
The open house will continue each school day from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. until Dec. 22. For more information, call the school horticulture department at (330) 729-4000, Ext. 1671.
