18 people treated for carbon monoxide poisoning

DAYTON (AP) -- Eighteen people attending a family get-together Thanksgiving Day were treated after complaining of possible carbon monoxide poisoning, officials said.
Firefighters were called to Judson Baptist Church on Thursday afternoon when some of the family members began to feel sick with nausea and headaches, said Joe McLean, deputy chief of the Miami Township Fire Department. No one was seriously injured, McLean said.
After everyone had left the church, a check with carbon monoxide detectors found high readings, and investigators were checking the building's furnace to see if it was faulty, he said.
