Masked man sought in armed robbery

GIRARD -- City police are looking for a masked gunman responsible for a Wednesday morning robbery at a McQuaid's gas station on South State Street.
A man, dressed in black with a hooded sweat shirt and ski mask covering his face, entered the store just after 6:30 a.m., put a gun to an employee's right side and demanded money. The man stuffed the cash into his pocket and ordered the two employees to walk with him to another section of the store.
Police said the man ordered both employees to sit on the floor in a back room and tied their hands.
A customer entered the store while the gunman was in the back room tying the employees. He then walked out of the back room, past the customer and out of the store, getting into the customer's 1991 Chevrolet pickup truck to escape. The stolen truck was found on a side street several minutes later.
