YOUNGSTOWN -- Lincoln Behavioral HealthCare of Youngstown has earned the Gold Seal of Approval from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. The accreditation lasts until Aug. 30, 2009.
WARREN -- Charles Masirovits of Toy Volvo Jag of Warren has been certified as a Toyota Truck Champion after completing training on the 2007 Toyota Tundra at the Toyota truck manufacturing plant in Princeton, Ind. The sessions provided Masirovits with truck business management techniques, an in-depth technical study and a tour of the plant.
AUSTINTOWN -- Carney-McNicholas, an agent of United Van Lines, has been honored by the worldwide household good transportation company with its President's Club Award, which honors agents who have generated at least 1 million in sales for the United system during the past year.
CANFIELD -- Matthew Bender of Schroedel, Scullin & amp; Bestic has earned the designation of Certified Valuation Analyst by completing the certification process with the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.
HUBBARD -- Mike Holdford of the Edward Jones office in Hubbard has achieved the professional designation of Accredited Asset Management Specialist. The College of Financial Planning awards the designation to those who complete an education program.
FARRELL, Pa. -- Joni Murray, manager of volunteer services, community education and special events at UPMC Horizon, has completed the certified administrator of volunteer services examination of the American Society of Volunteer Services.
NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- The Sears store just off U.S. Route 224 was given a regional award for the best Christmas decoration design of any Sears in the western Pennsylvania, eastern Ohio region, said Tom Brenneis, store manager trainee. Brenneis, of Poland, said the store was compared to eight others in the region for the competition.
