Holiday arts, crafts show has new venue



Fine artists, crafters and artisans will display their works at the Chevrolet Centre.
YOUNGSTOWN -- There will be a new venue for the 36th annual American Holiday Fine Arts and Crafts Show this year. For the first time, the event will staged at the Chevrolet Centre, 229 E. Front St.
The show will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Dec. 2 and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 3. General admission will be $5 for adults and free for children 12 and under. Parking is free.
Held annually as a benefit for the Butler Institute of American Art, the "An American Holiday" will feature the works of more than 100 fine artists, crafters and artisans, and will include entertainment and food.
Preview planned
As a prelude to the public exhibit, a preview party will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 1 at the center. Admission to the event is $25 for Butler members and $30 for nonmembers.
The evening will include a cash bar, light supper and music. Seating is limited, and reservations are requested by Friday. For reservation information call (330) 743-1107, Ext. 210.

Florence Wang is chairwoman for the holiday show committee, which is co-chaired by Camilla Geordan, C. Gilbert James and John MacIntosh.
