No. 1 Florida 93, Chattanooga 44
GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Lee Humphrey broke out of a brief shooting slump, hitting five 3-pointers and leading top-ranked Florida. Corey Brewer had 13 points, and Taurean Green added 11 for the defending national champions. Chattanooga doubled Joakim Noah and Al Horford most of the game, opening up plenty of outside shots. Humphrey took advantage of the open looks. A career 43-percent shooter from beyond the arc, Humphrey entered the game having made just three of 12 shots from 3-point range this season. The senior improved his percentage substantially against the Mocs (1-2). Humphrey was 5-for-7 from beyond the arc, helping the Gators (4-0) extend their winning streak to 15 games and win their 24th consecutive game against non-conference opponents. Noah and Horford, two days after totaling 34 points and 17 rebounds, had a combined 15 points and nine boards. Noah was 6-of-10 from the free-throw line. Horford was in foul trouble much of the night. Florida shot 54 percent from the floor and was 14-of-31 from 3-point range.
No. 4 Pittsburgh 85, Massachusetts 68
PITTSBURGH -- Mike Cook scored 14 points to help the Panthers overcome Aaron Gray's injury and foul trouble. Gray, the preseason Big East player of the year, drew his second foul 5 1/2 minutes in and didn't return until the start of the second half. But he was cut on his lower lip within seconds and needed seven stitches. The 7-footer came back with Pittsburgh up 68-52 with 11 minutes remaining. Despite playing only 17 minutes, Gray had 14 points and five rebounds. Levance Fields had 13 points and five assists, Antonio Graves added 12, and Tyrell Biggs had 11 points and eight rebounds in a reserve role for Pittsburgh (4-0). Stephane Lasme had 17 points and nine rebounds for UMass (2-1).
No. 16 Marquette 95, Eastern Michigan 62
MILWAUKEE -- Dominic James had 17 points and six assists to help Marquette get the win. Wesley Matthews added 15 points for the Golden Eagles (4-0), who made 13 of 27 3-pointers. It was their second straight game with at least 10 3s. Devon Dumes led Eastern Michigan (1-3) with 16 points. Marquette forced 26 turnovers, and finished with 11 blocked shots and 14 steals.
WOMEN
No. 1 Maryland 75, Arizona 61
COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Ashleigh Newman scored 17 points to lead top-ranked Maryland. Laura Harper added 14 points for the Terrapins (4-0), who had four players score in double figures. Joy Hollingsworth led Arizona (1-2) with 22 points. Crystal Langhorne continued her efficient start to the season, making five of six shots to finish with 11 points.
No. 15 Vanderbilt 79, Dartmouth 49
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Carla Thomas scored 21 points to lead Vanderbilt. Thomas scored 14 points in the first half to help the Commodores (3-0) build a 14-point lead. Vanderbilt took its biggest lead of the half when Jessica Mooney hit a 3-pointer to beat the halftime buzzer, giving the Commodores a 41-27 advantage. A 15-0 run keyed Vanderbilt's surge in the first half. Jennifer Risper scored nine points in the run.
No. 21 Kentucky 69, Old Dominion 55
NORFOLK, Va. -- Jenny Pfeiffer scored 22 points -- including five 3-pointers -- and Carly Ormerod had 18 along with seven assists to lead Kentucky. The Lady Monarchs jumped out to a 15-12 lead midway through the first half, but Kentucky scored seven unanswered points and never trailed again. The Wildcats (2-1) shot just 27.3 percent in the first half, but managed to bring a 27-23 lead into halftime.
