Learning about new smoking ban

AUSTINTOWN -- Local health departments and the Regional Chamber have scheduled three public informational meetings to discuss what businesses need to know about complying with Ohio's new law that bans indoor smoking in most public places.
The law takes effect Dec. 8. The meetings, cosponsored by the Mahoning County District Board of Health, Youngstown City Health District and the Struthers City Health Department, are free and open to the public and employers from all industries. Reservations are not required, said Matthew Stefanak, Mahoning County health commissioner.
The meeting dates, times and locations are:
Nov. 29, 2 p.m., Austintown Township Building, 82 Ohltown Road, Austintown.
Nov. 30, 10:30 a.m., Oakhill Renaissance Place, 345 Oakhill Ave., Youngstown.
Dec. 1, 2 p.m., Boardman Township Building, 8299 Market St., Boardman.
