Flu, pneumonia shots in the Tri-County area



In Mahoning County
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Youngstown City Health District is offering flu and pneumonia shots at several clinics in the near future. Flu shots are 10 and pneumonia shots are 30. Medicare and Medicaid recipients must bring their cards to determine eligibility. The dates, times and locations are: Monday, ITAM Club, 115 S. Meridian Road, Youngstown, 8:30 to 11 a.m.; Friday, Youngstown/Mahoning County Public Library, 305 Wick Ave., Youngstown, 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.; Nov. 28, YWCA, 25 W. Rayen Ave., 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.; Nov. 29, Youngstown Health Department, 345 Oak Hill Ave., Youngstown, 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. No appointment is necessary.
In Columbiana County
LISBON -- The Columbiana County Health Department is offering flu shots for people age 65 and older or anyone ages 3 to 64 who has a chronic disease. The shots will be dispensed by appointment only on Friday and Nov. 27 at the health department, 7360 state Route 45. Call (330) 424-0272.
In Niles
NILES -- Flu shots are offered at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 30 at the Niles SCOPE Senior Center, 14 E. State St. For those 65 and older, Medicare will be billed directly. For people ages 16 to 64, the cost is 32. Call (330) 544-3676 for more information.
The city health department will be giving flu shots from 2 to 3:15 p.m. for three days beginning Monday, by appointment only at city hall, 34 W. State St. The vaccination costs 15 for those age 18 and older. Those making appointments at (330) 544-9000, Ext. 163, must bring their Medicare, Medicaid or Anthem Senior Advantage identification cards.
