Diocese announces Corbin's certification
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Diocese of Youngstown has announced that Brian R. Corbin, executive director of Catholic Charities Services and Health Affairs, has completed the National Catholic Certification Program in Health Care Ethics sponsored by the National Catholic Bioethics Center in Philadelphia.
Corbin wrote his qualifying paper on "Routine Testing for HIV in the General Population and Pregnant women: A Catholic Moral Analysis."
He is secretary-treasurer of the Diocese of Youngstown Catholic Charities Corporation, secretary of the St. Joseph Care Center in Louisville and has served on the Ethics Committee of Humility of Mary Health Partners. Corbin is president of Youngstown District Board of Health and chairs the Code of Ethics Committee of the Board of Trustees of Catholic Charities USA.
Corbin teaches business ethics and social responsibility in the School for Professional Studies and the master of business administration program and classes in Catholic social doctrine in the Catholic Studies Program at Walsh University in North Canton.
