STRUTHERS -- The Struthers School Foundation for Educational Excellence has approved five grant requests for the 2006-07 school year.
The foundation will provide funds for copper enameling and jewelry metalworking for the Advanced Art curriculum at Struthers High School, the purchase of 60 dry-erase boards for seventh-grade math pupils at Struthers Middle School, the purchase of three scanners to be utilized districtwide, for a Martin Audio Visual Elmo that can also be used districtwide and the purchase of computer programs for the high school and middle school Instrumental Music departments.
Those computer programs offer assessment tests and reports for each pupil and can progress with the pupils as they move through each grade.
