A summary of recent criminal activity in Hubbard, Girard and Liberty:
HUBBARD
Oct. 25
Theft: A Caroline Avenue man reported his cellular phone was used without permission.
Oct. 26
Criminal mischief: Several poles were knocked over in a parking lot near Dairy Queen, 119 Youngstown-Hubbard Road.
Arrest: The U.S. Marshals Service picked up a Hubbard man wanted on a warrant from Hubbard. The charge was theft.
Oct. 27
Criminal mischief: A woman in the 100 block of Myron Street found all four of her car's tires had been punctured.
Menacing: A Youngstown man told officers a student at Hubbard High School, 350 Hall Ave., threatened to kill him and his 15-year-old son.
Oct. 28
Bad check: A Roosevelt Drive woman reported getting a bad check and being the victim of fraud.
Oct. 29
Breaking and entering: Police arrested a man, no information given, after a boy reported someone in his father's vehicle that was found to have been ransacked.
Arrest: Boardman police held a Hubbard man wanted on a felony warrant from Hubbard charging him with receiving stolen property.
Oct. 30
Possible breaking and entering: A Scott Street resident reported a suspicious person in a red pickup truck was at a neighbor's home, and that the resident found damage to a door knob there.
GIRARD
Oct. 28
Theft: A worker at Dairy Queen, 201 S. State St., called police after a man removed a donations can from a window.
Theft: An employee at Car Town Motor Sales, 423 S. State St., reported the theft of an $800 hood from a vehicle for sale.
Oct. 29
Criminal damaging: A Washington Avenue woman told officers her boyfriend was intoxicated and kicked in a rear door to their residence.
Oct. 31
Assault: A Lakewood, Ohio, man reported someone in a green minivan got out and punched him in the face in the 30 block of South State Street.
Theft: A "For Sale" sign was removed from a residence in the 500 block of East Liberty Street.
Attempted identity fraud: An East Liberty Street man checked his bank account online and discovered someone tried twice to electronically withdraw funds from it.
LIBERTY
Oct. 25
Vandalism: A mailbox in the 4600 block of Sampson Drive sustained $400 worth of damage after a pumpkin was thrown at it.
Stolen property: After a vehicle registration check revealed a stolen license plate, authorities stopped a 21-year-old Hubbard man near Logan Way and Halleck Street and arrested him on one felony count of receiving stolen property.
Theft: A Sturgeon Drive man reported a $700 go-cart and a bicycle stolen from his home.
Oct. 26
Theft/drugs: Officers arrested a 17-year-old boy on a charge of theft of a motor vehicle (go-cart) and an 18-year-old man, both of Girard, on charges of receiving stolen property and possession of marijuana and drugs. Police said that after receiving a tip, they found a stolen bicycle at a Belmont Avenue residence, and that the man had 5 grams of suspected marijuana.
Arrest: A Youngstown woman, 22, was stopped on Interstate 80 for having an expired license plate and arrested when police learned she was wanted on a warrant charging her with failure to appear for a violation-of-protection hearing.
Criminal damaging: A man in the 3000 block of Green Acres Drive reported his car's rear passenger-side window broken.
Breaking and entering: A worker at an apartment complex in the 4100 block of Logan Gate Road told authorities that a surveillance tape showed a 40-year-old Youngstown man removed a 19-inch TV from the community room.
Theft: A Liberty Avenue boy, 15, was charged with theft after two people at W.S. Guy Middle School, 4115 Shady Road, reported a hat, a video game system and earrings missing.
Assault: A Youngstown man sought medical treatment for a fractured jaw and other injuries; he said he was punched in the face and kicked while on the ground at USA Gas Mart, 2904 Belmont Ave.
Oct. 27
Theft: Police arrested a 44-year-old Youngstown man on a theft charge after two bottles of perfume, a package of T-shirts and three packages of undergarments were stolen from Dollar General, 3551 Belmont Ave.
Vehicle theft: A worker at Station Square Restaurant, 4250 Belmont Ave., reported the theft of his 1993 Chevrolet conversion van.
Forgery: Authorities picked up a 22-year-old Youngstown woman at the Mahoning County Jail. She was wanted on a felony warrant from Liberty charging her with forgery.
Theft: A Parkwood Avenue man noticed a $1,276 mobile video missing from his vehicle's dashboard.
Aggravated menacing: A Green Acres Drive woman alleged her father called numerous times threatening to kill her and her family as part of a dispute.
Breaking and entering: Someone entered a rental unit through a garage at E-Z Self Storage, 1335 Trumbull Ave., and apparently removed property.
Theft/criminal damaging: A woman came out of Station Square Restaurant and found her car's driver's-side window broken and a cellular phone stolen.
Theft/criminal damaging: A man at the Tallyho-tel, 4249 Belmont Ave., discovered a passenger-side window to his vehicle had been broken. Stolen was a $100 compact-disc player.
