XCANFIELD -- Loretta Ann and Howard Lewis of Canfield are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Melissa Renee Lewis of Middleburg Heights, and Eric David Ide of Medina.
The future groom is a son of Collete and David Ide of Lakewood and Edith Ide of Cleveland.
The couple have chosen St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Berea for the open wedding they have planned for 1 p.m. Aug. 5. Invitations will be issued for a reception to be held at Coppertop at Cherokee Hills Golf Club in Valley City.
A special-education teacher with Cleveland City Schools, Miss Lewis graduated from Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea and earned a master's in special education at Marygrove College in Detroit.
Mr. Ide is self-employed with BTT Trucking in Medina.
