XNEW YORK -- Announcing the engagement of Lisa Catherine Walton and George Steve Samonas, both of 3924 Rush Blvd., Youngstown, are Dr. Ralph Walton and Mary Walton, both of New York, parents of the bride-elect.
The future groom is a son of Anna Samonas, 101 Rosary Drive, Campbell, and Steve Samonas, Williamson Avenue, Youngstown.
Miss Walton graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in education from Kent State University. She is a personnel coordinator with Infocision Management Corp., New Castle, Pa.
Mr. Samonas, an operations manager with AVI Food Systems Inc. in Butler, Pa., graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in sociology. He also attended the University of Phoenix, where he pursued a master's degree in business administration.
The couple will extend invitations for their 3 p.m. July 1 wedding at Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church, Campbell, and for their evening reception at Mr. Anthony's in Boardman.
