Professors to talk about domestic and global issues

ALLIANCE -- Four Mount Union College professors will discuss a variety of domestic and global issues beginning at 5:45 p.m. Monday in Chapman Hall Room 202.
Dr. David Weiss, assistant professor of communication at Mount Union, will present "Losing My (Civil) Religion: George W. Bush, John Kerry, and the Ascendance of Personal Politico-Religious Rhetoric." The event will not focus solely on domestic issues, however.
Dr. Peter Schneller, associate professor of education, will examine an international topic in his talk "Seven Lessons for Tibet: Carrying Character Education from East to West."
"It's Not Easy Being Green: Global Amphibian Decline and Emerging Infectious Diseases," a presentation by Dr. Peter Schneller, associate professor of education, will have information on global wildlife and disease issues.
Dr. Paul Tidman, associate professor of philosophy and religious studies, also will make a presentation at the free forum, which is open to the public, on "A Defense for Gratuitous Evil."
The forum will be followed by a question-and-answer session. Dr. John Kirchmeyer, professor of computer science and information systems, will serve as moderator.
