MEETING WRAP
Canfield, Austintown
A rundown of action taken Monday by trustees in Canfield and Austintown:
Canfield: Township trustees approved a purchase order to pay Mahoning County Sheriff's Department $222,834 for 2006 police protection. The trustees met Monday. Trustee Bill Reese said the township spent about $200,000 last year for the service.
Austintown: Township trustees promoted two police officers. Promoted to lieutenant is Ronald H. Deamicis, who has been a full-time member of the police department for 25 years. Promoted to sergeant is Richard R. John. John has been with the department full time for nine years and part time for three years.
