MICHELLE CARABBIAPATRICK HUGHES
XBOARDMAN -- Westminster Presbyterian Church was the setting at 2 p.m. Feb. 4 as Michelle Francine Carabbia and Patrick Bonnell Hughes were united in marriage.
The Rev. David Joachim officiated at the ceremony, and a reception was held in honor of the couple at The Georgetown. After a wedding trip to the Riviera Maya in Mexico, the newlyweds live in Poland.
Parents the bride are Orlando Carabbia and Francine Carabbia, both of Poland, and the groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Hughes of Boardman.
The bride wore a white satin strapless gown designed with V-neckline, empire bodice and split front skirt. It was enhanced with beading and the skirt flowed into a chapel train. Her veil was gathered to a rhinestone tiara.
Charcoal-colored gowns were worn by the honor attendants, Erin O'Malley and Jennifer Malatok, and bridesmaids were Lisa Martin; and Amy Sorvillo and Michelle Van Wie, sisters of the groom. Flower girls were the groom's nieces, Kara Sorvillo and Kaylee Sorvillo.
Serving as best man was the groom's brother, Rick Hughes, and groomsmen were Michael Carabbia, a brother of the bride; Steve Stanic; Dean Thomas; and John Marino. Ring bearer was Zachary Van Wie, the groom's nephew.
The bride is an auditor with Sam's Club, and the groom is general manager of TSC in Wheeling, W.Va.
