Roth wins 1-0 behind Goethe's two-hit effort

The winners snapped an 18-game losing streak over R & amp;J Trucking.
STRUTHERS -- Robert Goethe tossed a two-hitter to lead Roth Brothers to a 1-0 victory over R & amp;J Trucking Monday in Class B Baseball action at Cene Park.
Goeth (1-2) had four strikeouts.
Sean Zentko and Ty Miscly doubled for Roth (2-20), which broke an 18-game losing streak.
Joe Vaught had three hits and scored the game-winning run on Miscky's double off.
Nick Muscari went the distance in defeat for R & amp; J Trucking (16-6). He had seven strikeouts. Ed Rohan doubled.
Newell Sporting Goods 1, Wharmby Sports 0
Jarryd Summers tossed a four-hit shutout with six strikeouts as Newell improved to 10-12. Nick Backo doubled.
The only run of the game came in the fifth as Josh Fyffe singled, moved to second on a groundout and scored on a singe by Ryan Morris.
Cory Johnson of Wharmby (13-9) suffered the loss, allowing just three hits with seven strikeouts.
Rondinelli Tuxedo 5, Sugar Excavating 2
Rondinelli (17-5) moved back into first place in the Goldstone Division.
Chris Beaty had two hits and drove home a pair while Cory Nesbitt went the first 51/3 innings for the win. He had six strikeouts.
Tyrone Wright retired all four men he faced, two on strikeouts for the save. Phil Double tripled.
Mike Hoelzel had two hits for Dave Sugar (8-14) while Jeff Musick tossed a complete game in the loss with three strikeouts. Jon Krause and Jon Brady doubled.
Livi Steel 3, Yo. Express 1
Shane Liska outdueled Ryan Walters as Livi Steel improved to 16-6 and moved into a tie for second place in the Goldstone Division with R & amp;J Trucking.
Liska and Walters both allowed just two hits, but two of the seven men Walters walked scored while only one of the two walks by Liska dented home plate.
Liska had 12 strikeouts while Walters had one. Bobby Revesz added a triple for Livi while Mike Berry had a run scoring single for the Express (3-18).
Mink Financial 6, Astro Falcons 5
Lonnie McQueen (1-5) struck out nine batters as he won for the first time as Mink Financial stayed one game ahead of Newell for sixth place.
Drew Turocy suffered the loss and had 10 strikeouts. Mike Dota had three hits, Kyle Smith two and Cameron Konop a triple for the Falcons (13-8).
Astro remains ahead of Wharmby Sports by a half game in the Cene Division.
Dan Moran drove home a pair of runs for the winners.
