XThe engagement of Kristy Mackos and Raymond McLain Jr., both of 4599 Rhode Island Drive, Austintown, is being announced by the parents of the bride-elect, Kathleen and Stephen Mackos, 1980 Birch Trace, Austintown, and the future groom's grandmother, Eleanor Lyden, 7419 Glenwood Ave., Boardman, who raised him.
Miss Mackos, a server at Antone's Italian Grille in Austintown, is pursuing a bachelor's degree in psychology at Youngstown State University.
Mr. McLain is a son of Raymond McClain Sr. of Minerva and the late Alene McClain. He graduated from the MTC Police Academy and is pursuing a bachelor's degree in criminal justice at YSU. He is a deputy with Mahoning County Sheriff's Department in Youngstown.
The couple will exchange nuptial vows during a 2 p.m. ceremony Sept. 23 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Austintown. Invitations will be issued for the ceremony and also for their evening reception at Willow Creek, Girard.
