SARAH NEIGHBARGERDUSTY SLAGLE
XMOUNT GILEAD -- The wedding of Sarah Jane Neighbarger and Dusty Amos Slagle took place at 2 p.m. May 20 at Heartland Alliance Church at the North Woodbury Campus with the Rev. Joe Blevins presiding.
The bride is a daughter of Lucina Ann Carter of Fredericktown and David L. Neighbarger of Utica, and the groom is a son of Dave and Debbie Slagle of Greenford.
After a reception in the Basil Room at Sweet Basil Eatery, Mansfield, the couple left on a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico.
Escorted by her brother, Paul Neighbarger, the bride wore a strapless white gown trimmed with red.
Emma Blevins was the honor attendant for her sister, and bridesmaids were Elizabeth Sawyer, Dawn Wurm, Richelle Lefler, Laura Jane Smith, Leslie Miller and Biffiny Casto. Flower girls were Joy Neighbarger, the bride's niece, and Hailey Monroe, a niece of the groom.
The groom's father was best man, and groomsmen were Brian Smith; Chuck Crose; Jon Maretich; John Monroe, the groom's brother-in-law; Dean Slagle, his brother; and Dave Purins. Ring bearers were Garrett and Dillan Monroe, his nephews.
The couple graduated from the University of Toledo with doctor of pharmacy degrees. The bride will be commissioned as a captain in the U.S. Air Force when she completes officer training in July. The couple will then move to the Air Force base in Minot, N.D., where she will be an active-duty pharmacist. The groom plans to be a hospital pharmacist in Minot.
