Magnuson Foundation seeks support

Tuesday, June 20, 2006

The foundation is looking for places to put collection bins.
The Magnuson Foundation, which formed after Canfield's Assistant Police Chief Bob Magnuson died in a skydiving accident in April, will be collecting used ink cartridges and cell phones to be recycled.
The proceeds will help the needy of the Mahoning Valley. People can support the endeavor by placing collection bins in their workplaces.
How to get involved
Containers will be placed at the Canfield Fairground Rotary Fireworks Display from 5 to 10:30 p.m. July 1, in front of the big rock in front of the grandstand. They will also be at the alumni tent on the green in Canfield July 4.
Monetary donations may be mailed to Canfield Post Office, P.O. Box 272, Canfield, Ohio, 44406-0272.
To request a collection bin or pick-up, contact Annette at (330) 547-9566; Wanda at (330) 547-2033 or Tami at (330) 503-9670.
Donations will be used to continue Bob Magnuson's "Random Acts of Kindness" by establishing a scholarship fund and financing acts of kindness throughout the Valley.
