"Top Pops" (5 a.m., TV Land): There's something for every patriarch in the classic shows highlighting "good old dad" from the Andy Griffith Show, Leave it To Beaver, All in the Family, Sanford and Son and The Munsters. "The Sum of Us" at 10 p.m. relates the story of a devoted gay son, Russell Crowe, dealing with the illness of his accepting father.
"The Moon and the Son: An Imagined Conversation" (8 p.m., Cinemax): Few viewers would call this half-hour animated film a cartoon. John Canemaker uses hand-drawn animation to tell the personal and sensitive story of his difficult relationship with his father. He uses home movies, photos, trial transcripts and audio recordings to explore many contradictions. The voices of Eli Wallach and John Turturro are featured.
"Treasure Hunters" (8 p.m., NBC): A quest for hidden treasure combines elements of mystery, history and a high-speed race around the world. Multi-player teams scramble to decipher puzzles and cryptic codes in locations with historic significance, then race each other to avoid elimination while moving a step closer to a mystery prize.The show's premiere was Sunday, and now it's in its its regular slot.
