MELISSA COLAPIETROMICHAEL DEOERIO
XYOUNGSTOWN -- Monsignor Peter Polando officiated at 2 p.m. May 13 as Melissa Colapietro and Michael DeOerio, both of 4652 Crystal Ball Drive, Hilliard, were married at St. Matthias Church.
After a reception at St. Mary Assumption Social Center, the couple left on a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico. They live in Hilliard.
The bride is a daughter of Ronda Colapietro, 4577 Kirk Road, Austintown, and Michael Colapietro Sr., 834 Cambridge Drive. Parents of the groom are Michael and Norma DeOerio, 8081 Aquadale Drive, Boardman.
The bride's satin gown was enhanced with a tulle overlay, Alencon lace, pearls and crystals.
Lilac-colored gowns were worn by the honor attendant, Colette Becker of North Lima, and the bridesmaids, Ashley Owen of Augusta, Ga.; Kandace Wentzel of Delaware, Ohio; and the groom's sisters, Mary Jakovina of Poland and Lisa DeOerio of Severn, Md. The groom' niece, Payton Jakovina of Poland, was the flower girl.
Jeff Dripps of Youngstown was best man, and groomsmen were John Macfarland of Youngstown; Michael Colapietro Jr. of Columbus, the bride's brother; Anthony DeOerio of Tampa, Fla., the groom's brother; and Russ Jakovina of Poland, his brother-in-law. Ring bearer was the his nephew, Zane Jakovina of Poland.
The bride, a registered nurse at Children's Hospital in Columbus, graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in nursing. The groom attended YSU and is an order selector with Kroger Distribution in Delaware.
