Food donations badly needed at mission

YOUNGSTOWN -- After 14 years of distributing food baskets to needy families across the Mahoning Valley, the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley's food pantry is virtually empty.
The mission is asking residents and businesses to help with the donations of nonperishable food items. The items can be brought to 926 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., the mission's residence center, and 2246 Glenwood Ave., its distribution center.
People also can bring goods to Stadium Auto Group, 7850 Market St., Boardman; Clear Channel Radio, 7461 South Ave., Boardman; Youngstown Harley-Davidson, 4478 Boardman-Canfield Road, Canfield; and Bob & amp; Chuck Eddy Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep, 4850 Mahoning Ave., Austintown.
