COLLEEN MCCARTHYBRIAN SPEER
XCANFIELD -- Colleen McCarthy and Brian Speer, both of 2204 Aschinger Blvd., Columbus, were married at 1:30 p.m. June 10 at St. Michael Church.
The Rev. Larry Rice officiated for the daughter of Jerry and Kay McCarthy, 519 Greenmont Drive, and the son of Dr. Randall and Valerie Speer, 4080 Fairfax Drive, Upper Arlington.
A reception was held at St. Lucy's Banquet Center in Campbell, and the couple departed for a honeymoon to Italy.
The bride's ivory strapless A-line gown featured a corseted back and asymmetric waistline. It was embellished with Swarovski crystals.
Honor attendants were Christine McCarthy, the bride's sister, and Nikia Reveal. Bridesmaids were Carrie and Molly McCarthy, her sisters; Laura Cieply; and Kelly Buhr, the groom's cousin. They wore violet gowns. Flower girls were the bride's cousins, Ryleigh Lawrence and Brooklynn Becher.
Steven Speer was best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Scott Trinter; Kenneth Buhr, the groom's cousin; Daniel Martin; Christopher Banyots and Jon Seidelmann. The bride's cousin, Braeden Lawrence, was ring bearer, and ushers were Thomas Assante, Jason Nordstrom, Ryan Ely and Timothy Timberman.
Mrs. Speer holds a bachelor's degree from Ohio State University and is a free-lance writer and marketing consultant in Columbus.
Her husband also graduated from OSU and is a pharmacist with The Kroger Co. in Grove City, Ohio.
