BOARDMAN -- Canfield lost to North Canton Hoover, 6-2, in high school hockey at The Ice Zone Saturday.
Tom Mikes scored an unassisted goal for the Cardinals, while Tony Carney added a goal on assists from Bill Pfau and Ryan Meditz.
Eli Woodhall had three goals for North Canton.
Girls basketball
CUYAHOGA FALLS -- Walsh Jesuit put 11 girls in the scoring column, headed by Catlin Sureck's 12 points and Brianna Sergerson's nine, to cruise past Cardinal Mooney 60-23 Saturday.
Walsh Jesuit now is 14-1.
Mooney (6-8) was led by Danielle Daltorio with eight points.
