YOUNGSTOWN -- The Jambar, the student newspaper at Youngstown State University, celebrates its 75th birthday with a free rock and hip hop concert at 9 p.m. Friday at Cedar's Lounge on Hazel Street.
The concert will feature a diverse musical lineup that includes the groups A Voice Like Rhetoric, Love Circuit, We Famous Entertainment and You Are The War That I Want.
Throughout the spring semester, the newspaper will print a series of special features exploring the history of The Jambar, said Leonard Crist, editor in chief. Crist is asking former Jambar staff members who wish to share their stories and experiences to contact him at (330) 941-1991.
