XBRIDGEPORT, W.Va. -- Plans for the upcoming marriage of Amy E. Lott and Douglas J. Rupert, both of Chapel Hill, N.C., are being announced by parents of the bride-elect, Nancy Lott and Howard Lott, both of Bridgeport.
Parents of the prospective groom are Christina and William Rupert of Howland, formerly of Niles.
Ms. Lott graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in journalism from Ohio University at Athens. She is a public-relations specialist with Kidde, an international fire safety corporation, in Mebane, N.C.
Mr. Rupert graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in interpersonal communication from OU. He is pursuing a master's in public health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is employed part time with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina.
Invitations will be issued for the wedding the couple have planned for 10:30 a.m. May 27 at the Franklin Park Conservatory in Columbus and for the reception to be held afterward.
