MEN
Washington & amp; Jefferson 108,Westminster 86
WASHINGTON, Pa. -- Sophomore guard Craig Hannon (Union) scored a game-high 24 points, but it wasn't enough as Westminster (4-12, 1-3) fell to Washington & amp; Jefferson (5-12, 3-1) in a Presidents' Athletic Conference game. W & amp;J never trailed in the contest. The Presidents quickly put the game out of reach early in the second half, opening with a 13-4 run to build a 20-point advantage (67-47) with 15:44 left. The Presidents had five players score in double figures in the win, led by Brandon Studer with 22 points. For Westminster, Hannon scored 20 of his 24 points in the opening half and was 7-of-15 from beyond the three-point arc. Junior guard Greg Rosatelli and sophomore guard Nick DiNatale each added 15 points off the bench. Sophomore forward Chauncey Whitlow (Wilson) snared a team-high seven rebounds.
WOMEN
Ohio Wesleyan 72, Hiram 43
DELAWARE, Ohio -- Hiram junior Abbey Gorby (East Palestine) had a team-high eight rebounds and three assists for the Terriers (7-7, 2-5 NCAC). Junior Tania Carman led in scoring with 11 points, followed by sophomore Brandie Turner with seven points and four steals. Michelle Kozempa and freshman Stephanie Zunic (Canfield) each added six rebounds.
Washington & amp; Jefferson 60,Westminster 41
WASHINGTON, Pa. -- Washington & amp; Jefferson (13-3, 3-1 PAC) outscored Westminster 33-17 in the second half to break the game open. Westminster (4-13, 1-3) controlled play in the early going, jumping out to a 9-4 lead. Washington & amp; Jefferson battled back and took a 27-24 halftime lead. The Presidents then took control with a 17-4 run to start the second half. W & amp;J maintained a double-digit advantage for the remainder of the contest. The senior duo of Leigh Sulkowski and Amanda Stanonik posted 19 points apiece for the Presidents. Junior guard Desiree Sterling (Newton Falls) had 19 points for the Titans. Sterling and Nicole Fee (Neshannock) each had three assists. Junior guard Rachel Eaton added eight rebounds.
