CANFIELD CITY
Jan. 12
K-9 assist: Boardman police requested a K-9 assist on Midlothian Boulevard after a traffic stop in which the driver had a gun located in plain view. The suspect fled on foot and the K-9 officer picked up a trail, but the suspect was not apprehended.
Apartment burglary: A man who resides in the 400 block of Fairground Boulevard in the Village Apartments reported $285 in $1 bills he had wrapped up was taken.

Jan. 9
Weapons offense: An Austintown man was arrested on charges of carrying a loaded 9mm gun at the Econo-Lodge, 5431 Seventy-Six Drive.
Theft: Checks were stolen from a mailbox in the 60 block of Westchester Apartments.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged at a home in the 50 block of Wickliffe Circle.
Theft: Gasoline was stolen from Sheetz gas station, 5499 Mahoning Ave.
Criminal damaging: Holes were reported in the siding of a house in the 4000 block of New Road.
Robbery: A man is accused of trying to take a purse from a person at True North, 40 Mahoning Avenue.
Criminal mischief: A paint gun was used to shoot at a bus at Lynn Kirk Church, 4199 Kirk Road.
Criminal damaging: Eggs were thrown at a house in the 3000 block of Meanderwood Drive.
Attempted burglary: The deadbolt was damaged at a residence in the 4000 block of New Road.
Theft: $10.25 in gasoline was stolen from Sheetz gas station.
Theft: $15 in gasoline was stolen from Sheetz gas station.
Theft: Paperwork was stolen from a locker at Main Steel, 3805 Hendricks Road.
Theft from auto: A phone and prescriptions were stolen from a vehicle at Giant Eagle, 5200 Mahoning Ave.
Forgery: Three women obtained a painkiller prescription they tried to have filled at Giant Eagle.
Breaking and entering: A construction trailer was broken into and power tools were taken at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.

Drug offense: A woman from Lake Milton was arrested on charges of drug abuse of cocaine and methadone and a man from Lake Milton was charged with drug abuse and promoting drug abuse and was also in possession of cocaine and methadone. They were arrested in the 5200 block of Mahoning Avenue.

Drug offense: An Austintown man was arrested on a charge of possession of marijuana in the parking lot at Hillbrook Apartments.
Theft from auto: A cell phone and change were stolen from an auto at a home in the 400 block of South Edgehill Avenue.
Theft from auto: An AM-FM compact in-dash were recovered along with other items. There was damage to the door lock on the auto at a home in the 1000 block of Cavalcade Drive.
Theft from auto: An Am-FM compact disc player was stolen from an auto in the 400 block of South Edgehill Avenue.
Theft: Diesel fuel was stolen from Comfort Inn, 5370 Clarkins Drive.
Theft: $497.98 was stolen, possibly by an employee, at Fuel Mart, 5301 Seventy-Six Drive.
Theft: A Youngstown man was arrested on charges of theft and possession of drug paraphernalia at Giant Eagle, 52 Mahoning Ave.

Burglary: A home was entered while the residents slept in the 6000 block of Timberidge Avenue. Two laptop computers and games are among items taken.
Criminal damaging: Damage was reported to a vehicle at Forum Health, Ohltown Road.

Drug offense: A Youngstown man was charged with possession of marijuana at South Raccoon Road at Burkey Road.
Theft from auto: A vehicle was damaged in the 100 block of N. Niles-Canfield Road.
Assault on a police officer: An Austintown man was stopped for a traffic violation, ran and assaulted a police officer at a home in the 60 block of North Edgehill Avenue.
Attempted theft: The dash was damaged on a vehicle at the apartments in the 4000 block of Westchester Square.
Theft from vehicle: An in-dash stereo and a bag with two computer hard drives were stolen from a vehicle in the 4000 block of Westchester Square apartments.
Theft: A coat was taken from Austintown Fitch High School, 4560 Falcon Drive.
Attempted breaking entering: Shed doors were damaged at a home in the 4000 block of Viall Road.
Tampering with coin machine: A 5-foot 9- inch white man, about 165 pounds and aged 35-40 is a suspect in tampering with coin machines at Hillbrook apartments, 474 S. Raccoon Road.
Theft: Gas was stolen from Sheetz gas station by a driver of a red Chevrolet pick-up.
Theft from auto: A compact disc stereo was stolen from the 1000 block of North Niles-Canfield Road.
Theft: Beer was stolen from True North, 3670 S. Meridian Road.
Drug offense: A juvenile runaway was returned and a Mineral Ridge man was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at Mahoning Avenue and Raccoon Road.
Drug Offense: Three men were arrested in the Chippers Bar parking lot, 5 N. Edgehill Avenue. The first man, from Austintown, was charged with drug abuse of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia; the second man, also from Austintown, was charged possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia; no charges are listed for the third Austintown man.
Jan. 15
Theft: An undetermined amount of Marlboro cigarettes was stolen from Walgreen's, 5501 Mahoning Ave.
Explosive device: A metal pipe bomb was secured by the Youngstown Police Department at the TA Travel Center, 5400 Seventy-Six Drive, and two suspects were jailed at the Mahoning County Jail on other charges.
Misuse of credit card: A woman is accused of using a stolen credit card at the Gatsby, 54 Westchester Drive.
Criminal damaging: Damage to a vehicle windshield and hood was done to a vehicle in the 6900 block of Canfield-Niles Road.
Theft from auto: A pool stick was stolen from a vehicle at Rack's II, 4213 Mahoning Avenue.
Theft from auto: Compact discs and a stereo were stolen from a car at a residence in the 1000 block of Cavalcade Drive.
Theft from auto: The front license plate was stolen from a vehicle at a residence in the 4000 block of Deer Creek Court.
Vandalism: Tires were damaged on eight ambulances at Life Fleet, 3633 Lynhaven Road.
