STRUTHERS -- Ahead 33-26 after three quarters Tuesday, the Howland High boys basketball team pulled away with a 17-7 spurt to defeat Struthers, 50-33.
Dario Hadzovic paced the Tigers (5-6, 2-1 Metro Atheltic Conference) with 19 points. Zack Byler added eight.
Mike Duponty led the Wildcats (6-4, 1-2) with 10 points. Chris Kadvan added eight.
The Tigers enjoyed a 32-24 rebounding advantage with Dario Hadzovic grabbing nine.
Carrollton 42, West Branch 39
BELOIT -- West Branch battled back to tie the scored at 39 with less then a second remaining, but Carrollton tossed in a mid-court shot for the victory.
Andy Pappas paced West Branch with 12 points. Shane Young added 10. Kyle Rockwell grabbed 10 rebounds.
