XCAMPBELL -- Mr. and Mrs. Aubin Rivera, Sycamore Drive, celebrated 50 years of marriage by renewing their nuptial vows during a 2 p.m. ceremony Jan. 28 at St. Rose of Lima Church, Coitsville, where they are members.
Later that day the couple were honored during a reception held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church hall in Youngstown.
Invitations for the event were issued by their family, Millie and Mike Duva of Youngstown; Aubin Rivera Jr. of Campbell; Angel Rivera of Coon Rapids, Minn.; George Rivera of Fort Myers, Fla.; and David and Maria Rivera of Boardman. Completing the family are 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The former Isaura Lopez and Mr. Rivera were united in marriage Jan. 28, 1956, at Igelesia Catolica de San Sebastian in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico.
Mrs. Rivera, a homemaker, is a CCD assistant and usher at the church.
Mr. Rivera retired in 1984 from Republic Steel Corp. in Youngstown, where he was a mechanic. He is also an usher at the church.
