MAHONING VALLEY Institute to honor 36 area educators



The institute offers educational programs across a five-county area.
BOARDMAN -- Thirty-six outstanding educators will be recognized for exceptional contributions to education at the 58th annual meeting of the Industrial Information Institute for Education, Inc., at 6:30 p.m. today at Mr. Anthony's, 7440 South Ave. Ext.
U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan of Niles, D-17th, will be the featured speaker.
The institute, organized by area business leaders and incorporated as a nonprofit organization in 1947, has educational activities in Columbiana, Lawrence, Mahoning, Mercer and Trumbull counties, providing economic education, career exploration, consumer education, science education and vocational guidance.
Through workshops, publications and seminars, Institute member companies have provided economic education programs in cooperation with schools throughout Columbiana, Lawrence, Mahoning, Mercer and Trumbull counties.
