VFW 3332 auxiliary receives certificates during conference



NEWTON FALLS -- Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3332 received a certificate of congratulations Jan 13 in celebration of its 60th anniversary and in recognition of its years of service to the community.
The certificate was awarded by the national office of the auxiliary.
The auxiliary also received recognition when its president, Wanda Thompson, attended the Department of Ohio Midwinter Conference Jan. 25 to 29 in Toledo.
During the event, the auxiliary received certificates of appreciation for its participating in the following programs: Americanism, Buddy Poppy, cancer aid and research, hospital, Junior Unit, legislative, membership, national home, political action committee, rehabilitation, Voice of Democracy and youth activities.
National programs that will help area auxiliaries reach their goals were promoted by various department chairmen at the convention.
The auxiliary is dedicated to protecting veterans' entitlements, promoting patriotism, conducting youth programs, raising funds for cancer research and providing service to the community.
