NORTHEASTERN OHIO UNIVERSITIES COLLEGE OF MEDICINE, Rootstown.
Christopher Bodendorfer of Berlin Center received the Mary Jane Kelly Award for Staff Excellence at the recent Annual Employee Recognition and Service Awards Program. The award recognizes an employee who exhibits enthusiasm, diligence and exemplary loyalty to students and staff. Bodendorfer is the senior printing machine operator with Design and Printing Services in the College's Business Operations area. Letters of nomination cited his high quality of character, strong work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills and a high degree of integrity, responsibility and ambition.

Robert Sebo of Salem, a Bowling Green graduate and member of its board of trustees, was presented the John G. Tower Distinguished Alumnus Award by Kappa Sigma fraternity. The award, created in 1997, is given annually to recognize Kappa Sigma members and nonmember volunteers worldwide who have brought honor to the fraternity through community service, their work and other achievements. The Supreme Executive Committee of the fraternity's international headquarters chooses award recipients. Sebo is a member of Kappa Sigma and was selected for recognition because of his service to his community, contributions to BGSU and his career achievements.
Sebo is a retired senior vice president for Paychex Inc., of Rochester, N.Y., and he and his wife, Karen, helped to break ground in December for the new Sebo Athletic Center at the University's Doyt Perry Stadium. The structure named in their honor is being made possible through the Sebos' $3.5 million contribution toward construction of the facility. The couple also established the Bob and Karen Sebo Football Scholarship, Bob and Karen Sebo Endowed Scholarship in Jazz Studies and Bob and Karen Sebo Lecture Series in Entrepreneurship in the College of Business Administration.
Sebo is an active supporter of his home town as well as a patron of the Salem Community Theatre and member of the Salem Elks, Salem Booster Club, Italian Club of Salem, Salem Golf Club, Salem Historical Society and Emmanuel Baptist Church.
