Operation Detroit
Arrest warrants were issued Friday in New Castle for 28 people believed to be part of one of the largest cocaine distribution groups in the area. Officials say these groups controlled about 80 percent of the drug trade in New Castle. They face these charges:
Lamarol Abram, 28, Detroit: Two counts of participating in a corrupt organization, one count of criminal conspiracy, two counts of drug possession, and four counts of drug delivery.
Raymond Bailey, 19, Parkwood Court, New Castle: Two counts of participating in a corrupt organization, one count of criminal conspiracy, one count of drug possession and two counts of drug delivery.
Ronald Book, 41, Waldo Street, New Castle: Two counts of participating in a corrupt organization, one count of criminal conspiracy, two counts of drug possession and four counts of drug delivery.
James Brooks, 39, Detroit: Two counts of participating in a corrupt organization, one count of criminal conspiracy, five counts of drug possession, 10 counts of drug delivery, and one count of criminal use of a communications facility.
Malkia Brown, 28, North Walnut Street, New Castle: Two counts of participating in a corrupt organization, one count of criminal conspiracy, two counts of drug possession and four counts of drug delivery.
Gerald Crosby Jr., 55, Carson Street, New Castle: Two counts of participating in a corrupt organization, one count of criminal conspiracy, one count of drug possession and two counts of drug delivery.
Andrew Davis, 18, Detroit: Two counts of participating in a corrupt organization, one count of criminal conspiracy, one count of drug possession and two counts of drug delivery.
Lionell Edwards, 20, Detroit: Two counts of participating in a corrupt organization, one count of criminal conspiracy, one count of drug possession and two counts of drug delivery.
Duane Evans, 23, Harbor Street, New Castle: Two counts of participating in a corrupt organization, one count of criminal conspiracy, one count of drug possession and two counts of drug delivery.
Marcos Ferreira, 18, Detroit: Two counts of participating in a corrupt organization, one count of criminal conspiracy, one count of drug possession, two counts of drug delivery and one count of simple assault.
Terry Griffith, 37, North Mercer Street, New Castle: Two counts of participating in a corrupt organization, one count of criminal conspiracy, one count of drug possession and two counts of drug delivery.
Darian Hall, 36, Detroit: Two counts of participating in a corrupt organization, one count of criminal conspiracy, three counts of drug possession, six counts of drug delivery and one count of criminal use of a communications facility.
Maurice Hubbard, 20, Detroit: Two counts of participating in a corrupt organization, one count of criminal conspiracy, one count of drug possession and two counts of drug delivery.
Shantez Johnson, no age given, Detroit: Two counts of participating in a corrupt organization, one count of criminal conspiracy, two counts of drug possession and four counts of drug delivery.
John McCurdy, 35, Detroit: Two counts of participating in a corrupt organization, one count of criminal conspiracy, two counts of drug possession and four counts of drug delivery.
Tytee Mitchell, 28, Detroit: Two counts of participating in a corrupt organization, one count of criminal conspiracy, two counts of drug possession and four counts of drug delivery.
Anthony Neal, 34, Detroit: Two counts of participating in a corrupt organization, one count of criminal conspiracy, one count of drug possession, two counts of drug delivery, two counts of simple assault and one count of criminal use of a communications facility.
Jasper Neal, 34, Southville, Mich.: Two counts of participating in a corrupt organization, one count of criminal conspiracy, one count of drug possession, two counts of drug delivery and two counts of simple assault.
Randy Oates, 20, Detroit: Two counts of participating in a corrupt organization, one count of criminal conspiracy, one count of drug possession and two counts of drug delivery.
Dorothy Ortiz, 37, Laurel Boulevard, New Castle: Two counts of participating in a corrupt organization, one count of criminal conspiracy, two counts of drug possession, four counts of drug delivery and one count of criminal use of a communications facility.

David Randall, 20, Detroit: Two counts of participating in a corrupt organization, one count of criminal conspiracy, two counts of drug possession, four counts of drug delivery
Frenzado Snow, 27, Detroit: Two counts of participating in a corrupt organization, one count of criminal conspiracy, three counts of drug possession, four counts of drug delivery and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon.
Bennie Tabb, 20, Detroit: Two counts of participating in a corrupt organization, one count of criminal conspiracy, one count of drug possession, two counts of drug delivery and one count of simple assault.
Larry Tabb, 34, Detroit: Two counts of participating in a corrupt organization, one count of criminal conspiracy, one count of drug possession and one two counts of drug delivery.
Two John Does, including one from New Castle, and a Detroit juvenile, each will be charged with two counts of participating in a corrupt organization, one count of criminal conspiracy, one count of drug possession and two counts of drug delivery.
