Area churches plan annual Ash Wednesday services to distribute ashes.
First Presbyterian Church, 3654 Main St., Mineral Ridge: Services and ashes at 7 p.m. There will be a dinner at 6 prepared by the Lent Task Force.
First Presbyterian Church, Wick Avenue and Wood Street, Youngstown: Devotional service at 6:45 p.m.
Jerusalem Lutheran Church, 415 S. Main St., Columbiana: Liturgy at 7 p.m.
Mahoning United Methodist Church, 2214 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown: Worship service and ashes at 7:30.
Poland Presbyterian Church, 2 Poland Manor, Poland: Communion services at noon and 7 p.m.
St. Joseph Church, 420 North St., Warren: Ashes only at 8:30 a.m. and at 5:30 p.m. Mass. Stations of the Cross at 6:30 p.m. Fridays, beginning next week.
St. John the Baptist Church, 159 Reed Ave., Campbell: 8 a.m. Mass with ashes.
St. Elizabeth Church, 124 Keytone St., Campbell: 8:30 a.m. Mass with ashes.
St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell: Masses with ashes at 9:30 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Trinity United Methodist Church, 30 W. Front St., Youngstown: Worship service at 7 p.m. with Richard Brown and Centenary United Methodist churches. Dinner at 6; reservations must be made by Monday by calling (330) 744-5032.
