Bethany tops Thiel in tourney



BETHANY, W. Va. -- Matt and Mike Drahos combined for 54 points, leading Bethany College past Thiel, 94-70, Thursday in the semifinals of the Presidents' Athletic Conference men's basketball tournament.
Matt Drahos scored 32 points on 13-of-18 shooting and added a game-high 14 rebounds for the top-seeded Bison (22-4), who will play Waynesburg Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
Mike Drahos added 22 points on 10-of-15 shooting and 10 rebounds.
Bethany, which led 47-29 at halftime, shot 55 percent (37-of-67) from the floor.
Thiel (5-22) was led by Damien Williams with 16 points and seven rebounds, while Gary Gates added 15 points and seven rebounds. Andre Jones finished with 11 points.
Waynesburg 87, Westminster 75
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- Waynesburg advanced to the PAC title game behind Beau Wilson, who scored 27 points.
Jeff Nero added 20 points for Waynesburg (16-10), while Marc Lodovico scored 16. Josh Parisi added 15 points and 15 rebounds.
Westminster (11-16) was led by Brian Fadden (Mohawk), who had 18 points and seven rebounds. Brian Urso added 12 points and Chauncey Whitlow had eight rebounds.
