Summary of recent criminal activity in Canfield city and Austintown Township:
CANFIELD
Feb. 13
Breaking and entering: A Dell laptop computer was stolen from Range One, 580 W. Main St. There were signs of forced entry.
Theft: A resident in the 300 block Verdant Lane reported that $113.65 in transactions were made with her credit/debit card from Homes Savings and Loan that was used without authorization.
Theft: $816 was taken from an envelope that was inside a briefcase in the manager's office including cash and checks from Friday's Sales at Agland/Countrymark /Landmark, 364 Lisbon St.
Feb. 14
Theft: A 26-year-old Canfield man was arrested on traffic violations on West Main Street. Police found six solid aluminum cylinders from Star Extruded Shapes, 601 Industrial Park Drive, in the trunk of the vehicle.
Assault: A 16-year-old Youngstown female was arrested for assaulting a 17-year-old female at the Mahoning County Joint Vocational School. She was released to the custody of her aunt.
Feb. 16
Drug paraphernalia: A 33-year-old Canfield man was arrested on Fairview Drive on charges of drug paraphernalia, concealing and possessing it after police found a small glass pipe with suspected burnt crack cocaine residue in it.
Drug paraphernalia: A 17-year-old North Benton male student was arrested and so was a 17-year-old New Middletown male on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia. Police found a glass pipe, suspected of being a marijuana pipe, three pieces of air hose cup link with suspected marijuana residue in the fitting and a metal tube with suspected marijuana residue in it.
Theft: A 62-year-old Canfield woman was accused of stealing four veal scallopini, a bottle of cooking wine, one pack of rice and two packs of rice with sauce at Giant Eagle, 525 E. Main St. She was also served a criminal trespass warning.
Feb. 17
Child restraint, drug abuse: A 50-year-old Niles man and a 40-year-old Niles woman were arrested for failure to have child restraints on a toddler and a child in the back seat of their car. The woman was charged with drug abuse, obtaining and possessing, and was told to bring her prescription to court for the 10 Alprazolam (generic Xanax) police found on her.
Theft: A bracelet was taken from Nanny's Nest, 584 W. Main Street, a clothing store, but the woman who took it returned it to the store undamaged and the owner did not wish to prosecute.
Possible theft of auto mats: A Summit Drive man was washing his car at Super Car Wash, Cardinal Drive and moved his auto to sweep it out. When he returned, the floor mats he had hung up were missing.
Feb. 18
Drug abuse: A 48-year-old Canfield woman was charged with drug abuse, obtaining and possessing, when police found an empty pack of Kool cigarettes with two hydrocodones in cellophane inside the pack.

Feb. 13
Theft: A Vindicator paper box was stolen from the front of Red Diamond, 4429 Mahoning Ave.
Theft from auto: 800 roses were stolen from the rear of a Ryder Truck at 650 N. Meridian Road.
Counterfeit money: A counterfeit $10 bill was reported at a home in the 4000 block of West Webb Road.
Theft: Money was taken from Taco Bell, 850 N. Niles-Canfield Road.
Receiving stolen property: An Austintown man was arrested at Mahoning Avenue and Four Mile Run Road after being accused of receiving a stolen license plate.
Feb. 14
Theft: A deposit bag containing $3,570.66 was stolen from the Babylon, 114 Javit Court.
Theft: Fuel was taken from Sheetz gas station, 5499 Mahoning Avenue.
Feb. 15
Theft: A woman's wallet was taken at Home Depot, 6100 Mahoning Avenue.
Theft: A hydraulic car lift was stolen from a garage in the 100 block of South Canfield-Niles Road.
Tampering with mail: A mailbox was damaged and mail removed at a residence in the 3000 block of Johnson Farm Drive.
Feb. 16
Breaking and entering, structure: Four tires and rims were taken from Mike's Mini Storage, 1269 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Criminal damaging: 188 feet of yard was damaged at a home in the 2000 block of Bainbridge Street.
Theft: Fuel was taken from Sheet gas station on two occasions.
Weapons: A student with a knife was reported at Austintown Middle School, 5800 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: Coin was removed from a mailed envelope at a home in the 2000 block of Spring Meadow Circle.
Theft from auto: A rear license plate was stolen from a vehicle in the 400 block of Westchester Drive.
Feb. 17
Theft: Tools were taken from a residence in the 6000 block of Silica Road.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged in the 1800 block of Mapletrace.
Theft: Fuel was stolen from Sheetz gas station.
Criminal damaging: A door was damaged in the 1000 block of Bexley Drive.
Theft: Currency was stolen from H & amp;R Block, 5423 Mahoning Avenue.
Feb. 18
Theft: A coat, wallet and contents were taken at Bill's, 4771 Mahoning Ave.
Drug offense: Two Youngstown men were arrested and one was charged with failure to comply. The second man was arrested on charges of drug abuse cocaine, drug abuse marijuana, drug paraphernalia, permitting drug abuse and possessing a dangerous substance at 4176 Mahoning Ave.
Criminal damaging: Two windows were damaged at a home in the 600 block of Notre Dame Drive.
Theft: A black Cadillac drove off without paying for gasoline at the BP gas station, 3107 S. Canfield-Niles Road.
Theft: A green Volvo drove off without paying for gasoline at Sheetz Gas station.
Theft from auto: An Alpine compact disc player was stolen from a vehicle at Home Depot, 6100 Mahoning Avenue.
Feb. 19
Criminal damaging: A 5-by-8-foot window was damaged at Change About Beauty Salon, 1724 S. Raccoon Road.
Criminal mischief: Eggs were tossed onto a home's roof in the 100 block of North Kimberly Avenue.
Theft: An Austintown man was accused of stealing steaks worth $42.83 from IGA, 4477 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A wallet was left in the dressing room at J.C. Penney Co., 6000 Mahoning Ave.
Criminal damaging: Windows and the garage door were damaged at a home in the 100 block of Ohltown Road.
Theft: A panel trailer was stolen from Pilot Oil, 1150 N. Niles-Canfield Road.
