WASHINGTON -- Gilbert Arenas scored 34 points, and Caron Butler had 19 points and 12 rebounds in the Wizards' eighth straight home victory. Antawn Jamison had 10 points and eight rebounds to help the Wizards snap a two-game losing streak and improve to 14-6 in their last 20 games. Ricky Davis led Minnesota with 25 points, and Kevin Garnett had 15 points and 11 rebounds, but scored only two points in the fourth quarter. The Timberwolves have lost eight of their last 10 games.
Pacers 97, Hornets 75
INDIANAPOLIS -- Rookie Danny Granger scored a career-high 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the Pacers to their sixth win in seven games. Anthony Johnson scored 19 points and Peja Stojakovic added 16 and nine rebounds for the Pacers. Rookie guard Chris Paul led the Hornets with 27 points and six assists. He shot 8-for-15 from the field, but the rest of the team were only 17-for-59 (34 percent). Desmond Mason was the only other Hornets player in double figures with 12 points.
Pistons 97, Hawks 87
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- Richard Hamilton scored 24 points and Chauncey Billups had 19 points and 15 assists to lead Detroit to its second straight win. Rasheed Wallace finished with 21 points and 12 rebounds and Ben Wallace had nine points, 17 rebounds and five blocks for the Pistons. Al Harrington led Atlanta with 20 points and Josh Childress added 18. The Hawks were trying to join Utah as the only teams with multiple wins over the Pistons this season, but couldn't pick up their sixth win in nine games.
Grizzlies 94, Raptors 88
MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Eddie Jones scored five points in the final 42 seconds to help the Grizzlies beat Toronto. Jones, who had only two points until the final minute, connected on a 3-pointer with 41.9 seconds left, then added two free throws as Memphis won its fourth straight. Pau Gasol led Memphis with 21 points, 10 rebounds and six assists. Chris Bosh scored 26 points and had nine rebounds, while Mike James scored 16 points and handed out six assists. Memphis held a 88-86 lead with 1:20 left when Morris Peterson hit two free throws to tie the game.
Spurs 103, SuperSonics 78
SAN ANTONIO -- Tony Parker scored 30 points and Bruce Bowen hit five 3-pointers to lead the Spurs in their first home game this month. The Spurs had been on an eight-game road "Rodeo" road trip before the All-Star break. San Antonio has taken this trip for the past four seasons while a rodeo was held at the AT & amp;T Center. The Spurs finished the trip 6-2, but lost their last two games. Ray Allen scored 20 points to lead San Antonio, which has lost seven of its last eight games.
Nets 89, Bucks 85
MILWAUKEE -- Vince Carter scored 45 points, including New Jersey's final 14 to lead a late comeback, and Jason Kidd had a triple-double in the Nets' win. Carter almost single-handedly erased a four-point deficit in the final 5 minutes, helping the Nets end a 10-game losing streak in Milwaukee. Kidd finished with 12 points, 13 assists and 12 rebounds for his 71st career triple-double and third this season. Michael Redd and Bobby Simmons each had 18 points to lead the Bucks.
Mavericks 93, Clippers 91
DALLAS -- Dirk Nowitzki had three straight baskets and a steal in a little more than a minute, then made a game-saving block with 6.9 seconds to go as the Mavericks held off the Clippers. The Mavericks (42-11), already with the best record in the Western Conference, matched a franchise record by winning their 12th straight home game. They have won 16 of 17 overall. Dallas didn't make another field goal after Nowitzki's last basket with 6 minutes left, missing its final nine shots. The Mavericks led by only a point when Nowitzki blocked Sam Cassell's shot. Los Angeles lost its fourth straight game.
