Counterfeit money operation suspected in Lawrence County, Pa.

ELLWOOD CITY, Pa. -- Pennsylvania and federal law enforcement officials are investigating a suspected counterfeit money operation in southern Lawrence County.
Pennsylvania State Police said they uncovered a possible moderate-sized counterfeit money operation involving several people. Police served a search warrant on a Township home last Wednesday as part of their investigation, and several items were seized.
Trooper Joseph Vascetti said a person who received fake money from the suspects contacted state police. That person gave police fake $20, $50 and $100 bills, he said. Police did not identify the suspects.
The United States Secret Service was called in to help investigate.
