It's a reality a series that has 80 wannabe rockers from all walks of life coming together for five days in Hollywood to jam together and pick up pointers from veterans like Roger Daltrey and Nils Lofgren. It all leads to a spirited battle of the bands.
"Monty Python's Personal Best" (9 p.m., PBS): They burst onto the British television scene in October 1969, and their sketches, skits, albums and books have kept folks laughing on both side of the pond for almost four full decades since. In this six-part series slated to air over the next several weeks, each living member of the original "Monty Python" troupe introduces his favorite skits from the groundbreaking "Monty Python's Flying Circus." Among the six episodes is a memoir show in honor of the late Graham Chapman, the only deceased member of the original group.
