No. 8 Connecticut 84, Providence 58
HARTFORD, Conn. -- Barbara Turner had 20 points and 13 rebounds to lead Connecticut. Turner and the Huskies set the tone early with a strong inside game and gave the Friars few second chances at the basket. Charde Houston's consecutive baskets with 10:10 left in the first half capped a 23-6 opening run and the Huskies never let up. UConn (23-3, 11-1 Big East) finished the game with 20 points off the fastbreak and a season-high 46 points in the paint. Turner and Willnett Croquet combined for 16 first-half rebounds and helped get UConn's transition game rolling. Freshman Chelsea Marandola led the Friars with a career-high 24 points. The Huskies have beaten the Friars (8-16, 3-10) in 21 straight games by an average of nearly 40 points a game. UConn's last loss against PC was on the road in 1993. Ann Strother, Ketia Swanier, Houston and Kalana Greene scored 10 points apiece for UConn. Crockett finished with eight boards as the Huskies outrebounded the Friars 40-32.
No. 9 Oklahoma 61, Texas 54
AUSTIN, Texas -- Courtney Paris scored 20 points and Oklahoma won its 10th straight game to remain perfect in Big 12 play. Paris shot 10-of-12 from the floor and grabbed 20 rebounds for the Sooners (22-4, 12-0). Oklahoma hit five of eight free throws in the final minute. Nina Norman scored 24 to lead Texas (12-11, 6-6).
No. 12 Baylor 84, No. 21 Texas A & amp;M 59
COLLEGE STATION -- Sophia Young scored 16 points and Angela Tisdale added 13 points and seven assists to lead Baylor. The Lady Bears (18-5, 8-4 Big 12) held Texas A & amp;M (19-6, 8-4) without a field goal for a 7-minute stretch in the second half and led by as many as 26 points.
No. 16 DePaul 64, Georgetown 58
WASHINGTON -- Khara Smith had 24 points and 18 rebounds to help DePaul win its third straight game. Smith became DePaul's all-time leading rebounder and finished with her 17th double-double of the season.
