YOUNGSTOWN -- The annual Dana Flute Festival at Youngstown State University will take place Feb. 25 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Bliss Hall on the YSU campus.
The featured guest artist this year is Mathieu Dufour, principal flute from the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Dufour will play a full recital of French compositions with pianist Eric Charnofsky at 1 p.m. and present a flute master class from 9-11 a.m. The day will include events for flutists of all ages, from junior high to professional, with concerts and reading sessions for all. Exhibitors from around the country will have booths offering flute, music and flute-related items for sale throughout the day.

Family Game Day
LIBERTY -- The E.J. Blott Elementary School Relay for Life team will hold its annual Family Game Day Feb. 25 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the school's multipurpose room.
The day will feature games, prizes and food. Tickets are $5 for 10 game/food ticket, and $2 for a food-only ticket. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
The money raised will go to the American Cancer Society.
Mount Union recital
ALLIANCE -- Harpsichordist Jeanette Sorrell and violinist Emyln Ngai, both members of Apollo's Fire, Cleveland's baroque orchestra, will be the guest recitalists for an evening of music at 8 p.m. today in Presser Recital Hall of Mount Union College.

Mid-Winter Concert
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- The 80-member Westminster College Symphonic Band will present a Mid-Winter Concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Orr Auditorium.
Under the direction of Dr. R. Tad Greig, the band will perform "Dedication Overture" by Vittorio Giannini, "Scenes from the Louvre" by Norman Dello Joio, "Flourish for Wind Band" by Ralph Vaughan Williams and "Third Suite" by Robert Jager.
The ensemble will also perform Eric Whitacre's latest composition "Lux Aurumque" (Light and Gold) along with Ron Nelson's "Homage to Leonin" from his "Medieval Suite."
