GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Matt Drahos had 24 points and 10 rebounds to help Bethany (20-4, 11-0) stay undefeated in the President's Athletic Conference. Mike Drahos added 16 points for the Bison, who took a commanding 38-18 halftime lead. Scott Mezyk had 11 points and Chris Stephens added 10. Ryan Gerber had eight points for Grove City (8-16, 4-7).
Allegheny 81, Hiram 72
MEADVILLE, Pa. -- Ben Torsney scored 18 points and Jimmy Savage added 13 points and 12 rebounds to lead Allegheny. Bill Babe had 17 points and Casey McCloskey 13 for the Gators (11-12, 7-8 North Coast Conference). Ahead 44-41 at the half, the Gators scored seven of the first nine points in the second half and never trailed again. Rick Baldwin scored 19 points, A.J. White 17 and T.C. Spencer 13 for Hiram (3-21, 1-14).
Mount Union 59, Muskingum 39
ALLIANCE -- Chris Switzer and Kyle Karpinski each scored 15 points for Mount Union. The Purple Raiders (6-18, 5-12 Ohio Conference) scored 10 of the final 14 points in the first half to take a 23-17 lead, then never led by fewer than that margin in the final 20 minutes. Karpinski also had 10 rebounds to lead Mount Union to a 40-32 advantage on the boards. Trevor Scott was the only player in double figures for the Muskies (15-8, 11-6) with 10 points. Muskingum hit just 29 percent of its shots from the field (17 of 59), including a 3-of-22 showing on 3-pointers.
WOMEN
Bethany 60, Grove City 48
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Lisa Mitchell scored 16 points to lead Bethany, which held Grove City to 28 percent shooting from the floor. Courtney Irwin added nine points and six rebounds for Bethany (8-16, 4-7 PAC), which earned its first road win of the season. Rachel McCoy had 19 points and 11 rebounds for Grove City (7-17, 3-8).
Allegheny 80, Hiram 61
MEADVILLE, Pa. -- Katie Kestler scored 15 points to lead three Allegheny players in double figures. Becca Gasiewicz had 14 points and Courtney Steding added 11 for Allegheny (17-8, 13-3 NCAC), which took a 44-35 halftime lead. Cassie Bedard had 28 points for Hiram (8-15, 3-12), while Michelle Kozempa had 10 points and nine rebounds.
Slippery Rock 74, Clarion 41
SLIPPER ROCK, Pa. -- Amanda Chojnacki scored 20 points to lead Slippery Rock (13-12, 5-5), which took a 40-26 halftime lead and cruised the rest of the way in a PSAC Western Division game. Amber McFeely added nine points in the win, while Melba Melton scored 13 points to lead Clarion (12-12, 3-6).
