Club owner suspects stripper of stealing cash

AUSTINTOWN -- A stripper is suspected in the theft of $3,570 from the Babylon club on Javit Court. The money was the club's receipts from Saturday, according to a police report.
The owner of the club allowed a stripper who said she wasn't feeling well to lie down on his couch in his office around 1 a.m. Tuesday, the report says. By 3 a.m., when he went to check on her, she was gone and his briefcase was open. The money had been in a hidden pocket in a deposit bag in the case, the report says. The owner has tried to contact her to bring the money back. No charges have been filed.
