N. Bloomfield man posts bond; Warren man stays in county jail

WARREN -- A North Bloomfield man charged in a chase with police through northern Trumbull County is free on bond, and a Warren man charged with shooting another man during a robbery is jailed after pleading innocent in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court.
Both were indicted by a Trumbull County grand jury last week.
Rodney L. Miller, 39, of state Route 45, entered his plea Monday to two counts of felonious assault on police officers trying to arrest him and one count of failure to comply, stemming from the Sept. 30 chase that began in Champion.
Police said they first tried to arrest Miller on Templeton Road in Champion and followed him for many miles before an officer finally fired three shots into tires on Miller's vehicle and arrested him in Ashtabula County. Police said Miller tried to drive into Deputy Sheriff Milton Kellerman and Champion officer Richard Goldner during the chase.
He posted $10,000 bond.
Maurice Moore, 37, of Elm Road Northeast, entered his plea to aggravated robbery and felonious assault charges with firearm specifications Monday. Niles police said he shot a Niles man in the leg and stomach during a robbery Nov. 20 at the man's home.
Police said the Niles man was coming home around 1 a.m. when a female approached him on his back porch. A man then appeared and demanded money before shooting him, police said.
Moore is in Trumbull County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bond.
