XCOLUMBIANA -- Announced by Ted and Peggy Manchester, 2593 W. South Range Road, is the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Manchester, 4411 Cox Drive, Stow, and Joe Murphy, a son of Paul and Irene Murphy, all of 3131 Englewood Drive, Stow.
Miss Manchester earned a bachelor's degree in education at Kent State University, where she is enrolled in graduate school.
Mr. Murphy will graduate in May from KSU with a bachelor's degree in newspaper journalism. He is a reporter with the Record Publishing Co. in Bedford.
The couple have chosen Aug. 5 for their open wedding at 3 p.m. at Hudson Community Church. They will issue invitations for their evening reception at Acker-Moore Memorial Post in Stow.
